To complete the quality assurance process, markingCONTROL CMI 8303.I uses efficient image processing technology to document the classification of the tires/wheels by inspecting the markings on the tire sidewall.

Closed-loop quality assurance

High-speed cameras are a central component of the markingCONTROL CMI 8303.I. They capture the illuminated surface on the sidewall by evaluating all instances of the images. Embossing on the sidewall and surface reflections are masked out. The quality of the detected markings is evaluated according to type, physical dimensions, rotation to the barcode, deformation and color.

The markingCONTROL CMI 8303.I checks the quality of the marking and displays the quality classification. This closes the circle of modern quality assurance.
