Rotation speed sensors

High precision rotation speed measurements

Micro-Epsilon offers various sensor technologies for monitoring and controlling drive systems and machines.

Rotation speed sensors are used to monitor, regulate and control mechanical drive systems and play a major role when it comes to protecting elements of a rotational system (e.g., in the engine, drive) from mechanical overload. Micro-Epsilon offers two sensor systems for rotation speed measurement. The capaNCDT CST6110 is a universal rotation speed sensor for counting tasks and rotation speed applications of any type. Moreover, the turboSPEED DZ140 measuring system is specifically designed for the detection of turbocharger rotation speeds.

inertialSENSORs measure angles, align machine parts and detect the position of moving components. They are easy to use and therefore well suited for a wide range of measurement tasks. Various analog and digital interfaces such as 0.5 ... 4.5 V, 4 ... 20 mA, CANopen and SAE J1939 facilitate their integration and offer comprehensive configuration options.

The Micro-Epsilon acceleration sensors are based on the MEMS technology and are therefore suitable for static and dynamic acceleration measurements. They detect accelerations in one, two or three axes. These sensors are often used in applications requiring maximum precision in harsh ambient conditions. Their high temperature stability enables the sensors to achieve very high measurement accuracy even when surrounded by strongly fluctuating ambient temperatures.
