Modular multi-channel measurement system for highest precision

capaNCDT 6200

The capaNCDT 6200 is the first multi-channel measurement system that is entirely modular. The controller can easily be extended up to four synchronized channels to support flexible applications. All capacitive displacement sensors by Micro-Epsilon can be operated using the capaNCDT 6200 controller. The integrated Ethernet interface supports parameterization and measurements via web interface. The DL6230 demodulator is available for high resolution measurements. For high-speed measurements up to 20kHz, the capaNCDT 6222 system is available.

Characteristics
  • Measuring ranges (mm):
    0.05 | 0.2 | 0.5 | 0.8 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 5 | 10
  • Resolution max. 0.2nm (with DL6230)
  • Linearity max. 0.01µm
  • Frequency response up to 20kHz (-3dB)
  • Data rate (digital output) 3.9kHz
  • Modular – expandable up to 4 channels
  • Analog output (voltage/current)
  • Ethernet/EtherCAT interface
  • Easy set up and configuration via web interface

The measurement system consists of one controller and the respective demodulator for the sensor. A modular design enables the system to be expanded at any time to four measuring channels. Therefore, an additional demodulator is integrated. The compact controller can be used as a benchtop unit, wall-mounted or DIN rail-mounted via an adapter. The capaNCDT 6200 is compatible with all sensor models from Micro-Epsilon.

Ease of use via web interface

Due to a user-friendly web interface, the entire configuration process of the controller and sensors is carried out without using any additional software. The web interface can be accessed via Ethernet and provides set up and configuration options for filters, arithmetic links and other parameters.

The mounting frame is designed for use with capacitive sensors for two-sided thickness measurements and helps to align the measuring points with one another. The frame allows for the sensors to lie exactly on one axis, meaning that the measuring points are arranged congruently. This prevents measurements at an offset and a reliable measurement result is achieved with the highest possible precision. The mounting frames provide space for up to 6 sensors. Two sensors each form a measuring point.

Characteristics
  • Multi-track thickness measurement at up to 3 points simultaneously
  • High temperature stability for precise measurements at temperatures of up to 100 °C
  • Suitable for vacuum
  • Extremely compact design
  • Easy integration and retrofitting in existing systems
  • Compatible with capaNCDT sensors
  • Calibratable design for high precision in thickness measurements
capaNCDT6228-Controller_500x250

The DT6228 capacitive controller, together with the CSE-x/HT sensors, is designed for distance measurements at ambient temperatures up to 800 °C. The controller enables high resolution and signal stability. In addition to the analog outputs, Ethernet or EtherCAT interfaces are available. Up to four high temperature sensors can be connected to one controller.
